0.1% OF CREATIVE AGENCIES ARE FOUNDED BY A WOMAN.

Public Service Organisation is a non-profit association promoting diversity, critical thinking and inclusive culture.

11% of creative directors are women.
78% of women in the Danish creative industry have experienced discrimination towards them. In 72% of the cases, it wasn’t reported to HR or management.
(Forbes →, PS Survey →)

The statistics speak for themselves. And so does the lack of country-specific data and understanding. We have close to no data or collected knowledge about representation and discrimination in the Danish creative industries (communication, design, branding).

As communicators, promoters and voices we have a responsibility to constantly question the status quo of our industry. What kind of world are we promoting?

If we want a more sustainable, just and inclusive future - we have to market, advertise and design it. And that requires all types of people, genders, backgrounds and minds at the table.

Critical thinking  →

Norm-critical thinking and creativity are anti-discrimination tools. Through workshops and talks, we promote the practice of questioning.

Diversity →

Diversity can’t be reduced to a question of man and woman. We work with diversity in an intersectional lens, through events, education, and knowledge-sharing.

Inclusive culture →

We can’t expect neither critical thinking or diversity, if the culture isn’t supportive towards changemakers. Through content and events we aim to be a safe space for progressive voices.

WE WORK IN FOUR PILLARS:

EDUCATION

We build vocabulary, practice norm-critical creativity, and questioning status quo.
EVENTS

Our event-series ‘Questioning Creatives’ give stage and sound to creatives on alternative paths.
DATA

We ask and collect answers from our community and industry. We hope to find support to conduct a yearly report.
CONCEPTS

We use our crafts within creativity to create content, concepts, and projects supporting our mission.
