Building Diversity is a non-profit organisation working to ensure a diverse and inclusive architecture for the world to live in.
ASK ︎︎︎
Diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities are all subjects, aims and objectives we can all (hopefully) agree is important.
The lack of the same in architecture does not only exclude and miss the perspectives of talented architects and visionary creative collectives - the consequences affect you, and me, and especially those with a fundamental need for more accessible cities, societies and homes.
The lack of the same in architecture does not only exclude and miss the perspectives of talented architects and visionary creative collectives - the consequences affect you, and me, and especially those with a fundamental need for more accessible cities, societies and homes.
It was our pleasure to help Building Diversity define (more closely) and design their core story, audience, tone of voice and visual language. Including a fresh new logo.
Core story
Building Diversity is a non-profit organisation working to ensure a diverse and inclusive architecture for the world to live in.
Our community is comprised of future builders. People who are eager to expand the possibilities of collectively ensuring inclusive and diverse futures.
It isn’t a quick fix or an easy task to broaden the narrative and invite new narrators. But the change, and those who perform it, are inevitable.
On the shoulders of those before us - we are for, by, and with the new generation of change-makers, architects and activists.
At our table, there’s a seat for anyone who wishes to take part. Expanding and growing:
We are Building Diversity.

Layout system
All layouts are based on the layout of our logo.
This modular system allows us to easily place, design, and work with our identity elements.
The strict grid makes it uncomplicated to create infinite layout variations whilst ensuring consistent design.
The tone of voice and visual language are natural extensions of each other.
Academia meets activist, colourful meets calm, strict meets limitless.
Besides from core story, audience, logo and visual language, we have developed and written an
extensive tone of voice guide, platform guide and style guide for the written language of Building Diversity.
Let us know if you would like to read it, we are happy to set up a call.
